NBCUniversal Women’s Day Upfront Events

Show Works had a tremendous amount of fun putting together NBCUniversal’s upfront events this year. Inspired by Women’s Day, and with the exciting theme of “Life isn’t always black and white” these upfronts celebrated E! Entertainment and treated guests to incredible High Tea events in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Each upfront was truly an event-to-remember, boasting a channel-inspired molecular high tea menu, slick high-class black and white décor with C02 accents, and hosted at exquisite settings in both cities: Emoyeni Estate in Jozi and The Rockwell Hotel in the Mother City. The events were peppered with unexpected entertainment: renowned illusionist Larry Soffer surprised and enthralled guests, delightful Palmists foretold guest’s futures and celebrity MCs Lalla Hiroyama and Didi Moses ensured proceedings ran smoothly. But undoubtedly the highlight of the presentation had to be our ‘unexpected beginning’ as guests were astounded by talented Morgan Beatbox who kicked off each event with a jaw-dropping performance of vocal manipulation

Our guest lists were littered with SA celebrities and guests were abuzz with an exciting announcement of local content on E!, And of course what would an E! event be without a take-home photo opportunity? So Show Works created a black and white photo corner, complete with funky photo props and insta-print facility, so that guests were afforded the opportunity to fill their snazzy new E! photo frames with something to remember their extraordinary afternoon by.

I must really applaud you all on all your effort and dedication – we realize how much work goes into creating these events and are so super grateful for all that you did to make them happen.

Taryn Rose, Marketing Manager Africa, NBCUniversal

This was by far the best looking event you guys have put together. It was awesome to photograph.

Thanks again for being my favourite photography client. The way you deal with people is inspiring 🙂
