Discovery Channel - National Media Launch


Journalists from around SA were flown to Johannesburg for a day of adventure, entertainment and adrenalin to launch some of Discovery Channel's upcoming programming.

Show Works Creative Entertainment conceptualized and engineered the entire day.

Our first stop was Kyalami Race Track, where our media guests were dazzled by World Champion Super Motor Racer, Brian Capper and our funky Cheerleaders, before taking to the track themselves to 'feel the need for speed'! - all to promote Discovery Channel's "Speed Week".

Then, it was onward to a splendid lunch and visual presentation, but along the way, our fantastic Ambush Theatre pieces to promote "Oil, Sweat & Rigs" and "Deadliest Catch" caused much excitement and hilarity!

The event was a launch with a difference - it even began with a BANG!

Our speed-themed Invite delivery was a race around the country to delivery the media's invitations, ambushing the newsrooms, complete with boom box, Schumacher, sexy pit girls!
