Discovery jumpstarted 2020 with gusto, with a week long series of events in the South African market.
A press event to launch Jenny Morris’s new show on Food Network, a series of bespoke one-to-one client meetings for HGTV, and a large scale Upfront event to immerse adsales execs in the top brands on the DSTV platform.
The press event for Food Networks’ new show, “From the Heart with Jenny Morris” was hosted at the beautiful and intimate Beechwood Gardens venue in Hyde Park. An exclusive pre-screening of the first episode was shown to media, followed by a delicious lunch with menu curated by, and shared with Jenny herself.
Show Works also produced a series of intimate and stylish one-on-one meetings hosted at The Clico Boutique Hotel. Over breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea, Discovery and DSTV execs showed key current and prospective clients why HGTV Channel is a sure winner in the African market.
We do love an Upfront event – especially one where we get to do something unique and out of the box. This year, we decided to switch things up from the usual presentation style – and split the venue into 3 distinct zones, taking guests on a journey to East, West and Africa, and immersing guests into the brands of HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel!
With 3 simultaneous channel presentations on Silent Event headphones, each zone was styled to suit the world destination, with different themed food and drink in each area.
