BBC Studios Upfront Event
Another bespoke channel showcase event for adsales and media guests, the 2023 BBC Studios Upfront was hosted at the stunning Beechwood Gardens in Hyde Park.
Themed “Step Into Our World”, our guests were invited on a meandering journey through the gardens before arriving at the main event space, where informal seating in four themed areas was set up under a Bedouin tent.
Themed food stations, a cocktail bar, and coffee bar were also set up around the venue, to encourage mingling and networking. The bright pops of colours in the decor and the decadent food styling really added to the beauty of the amazing garden setting. We loved the small, fun details that added to the #bbcwonderland theming in the various areas, and the pop-up gift station where guests got to select a Le Creuset herb planter and their choice of herb, was a big hit with guests!
An engaging and informative presentation was hosted by MC Bunny Majaja in a fireside chat format with BBC Channel and DStv Media Sales execs, which showcased the incredible content upcoming on the BBC Studios channels in Africa.
Following on from the Joburg Upfront Event, we produced a rollout of smaller client events in Durbs and Cape Town. ‘Step Into Our World’ took on a coastal feel with our gorgeous seaside venues at The Oyster Box Hotel and The 12 Apostles Hotel, with ocean views, colourful themed decor and a “high tea by the sea” inspired menu.
